Mid-Maine Marine was established in 1986 by Frank and Jackie Prelgovisk. Frank started in the marine business in 1959 as a technician for Hancock's Marine on the New Meadows River in Brunswick, Maine. In 1969 he established Frank's Marine Service in Bath, Maine. In 1972 he joined Longreach Company in Bath (where his son Garret started learning the trade) as a partner until they sold the business in 1984. Frank had wanted to establish a Marine dealerhip in the Belgrade Lakes Region for many years prior to selling Longreach Company and realized this dream in 1986. Frank's philosophy in business has always been to provide outstanding service through honesty and integrity. His motto has always been "Service, Service, Service"; believing that good service is the only way to build a loyal clientele. Having spent the first 26 years of his marine business career as a technician, owner, and service manager he has always practiced what he preached: Mid-Maine Marine Inc. proudly guarantees all of its products and services. Frank has now been in the Marine Business for over 50 years and has surrounded himself with an outstanding crew of service technician's, sales staff, service personel, and family. Garret is now Vice president and oversees the service department, son-in-law Ronald, who joined the family in 1989 is the Sales manager, and wife Jackie still controls the budget and is therefore the real boss. During all the years they have been there, there has always been a decendent of their first Golden Retriever, Casey, in the store. Mid-Maine Marine Inc. is celebrating its 25th year of growth in the Central Maine Area thanks to our great customers and friends.
