Buy in Maine / Boat in Maine 2.2% sales tax

Maine Revenue Service has a provision that allows for a 60% exemption of the sales tax due on Boat and Motor for non-residents who choose to purchase in Maine AND use the boat in Maine for longer than 30 days ( therefor registering with Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife). IN EFFECT CHARGING ONLY 2.2% SALES TAX ON BOAT AND MOTOR.
